What I have learned from CW's The Flash

I personally believe that whatever we do in life, or whatever we watch, there is always some lesson in it for us which we should perceive.

I am a huge fan of The Flash TV Series and also of all the meta-humans shown in the show. Some of my favorite Meta-humans are The Flash(of course), Captain Cold and Vibe(Cisco Ramon).

The Flash is currently into its Season 3, and the main villain is Savitar-The God of Speed. He is a speedster but much more faster than The Flash or any other Speedster. When Barry tries to capture Savitar by throwing the Philosopher's Stone into the Speed Force, he is accidentally thrust into the future where he sees that Savitar is about to kill Iris West.

Now, he comes back to the Present and tells everyone, including Iris, about what he saw in the Future. Now that Iris knows that she's gonna be killed in future by Savitar, that's the main point which I want to address here.

Now, here is my point. Much like Iris, who knows that she'll be soon killed, we are pretty much the same. You might wonder how? Well, the thing is that we're going to die in the future, because we're not immortal. We are not here on Earth to live forever.

And that's what clicked me. When I know that I'll be gone soon, it might take 40/50/70 years years from now, but that will happen eventually. This thing motivates me to do great things at a much faster pace.

Steve Jobs once said:

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.

We need to start thinking about this quote more seriously rather than just posting it as Facebook status or making it Cover photo. Our time is limited. When I'm writing this article, my life clock is running constantly, and my time is getting reduced constantly.

Now, when you know that you have very limited amount of time left here, your inner self will drive you to do crazy stuff because it is terrified with the fact that you might not even make it to next weekend, or next Summer vacation which you've already planned.

So, don't waste your time. It is much more precious than money or water. Save time when you still have it and utilize it for the things that are worth it. I am not saying that you should not try different things. You should. You need to explore a lot, because you learn a lot of things just by exploring them. I'm just saying that you should not waste time on things which will not make you a better person.

"My favorite things in life don't cost any money. It's really clear that the most precious resource we all have is time." ~ Steve Jobs
